Richard Rodgers
Richard Rodgers was an American composer and one of the most influential figures in 20th-century musical theatre. Best known for his partnerships with lyricists Lorenz Hart and later Oscar Hammerstein II, he created enduring classics such as “Blue Moon,” “My Funny Valentine,” “The Sound of Music,” and “Some Enchanted Evening.” His work bridges Broadway, film, and the Great American Songbook, combining memorable melodies with refined harmonic language.
